Queer en el Sur se siente como pulso en los árboles y manos en la tierra.
Queer en el Sur se mueve como la danza de las hojas y maúlla con el sonido de la dulzura.
Una Palestina Libre es una historia desencadenada abierta a la danza de hoy.
Y un Queer en el Sur conoce la verdad como un toque delicado.
Muchos conocen el dolor de la mirada de odio;
pero los fuelles gritan libertad
y mi corazón está con
inyecciones en los muslos
dientes apretados contra corteza cruda
y una suave calidez con mis semejantes.
El calor del verano transpira por los poros mientras
Queers en el Sur
se mueven cuerpo a cuerpo
de los pies a la cabeza
probando la dulce sandía mientras el sonido de la
solidaridad resuena en el templo

simplemente por

Queer in the South moves as the leaves dance and meows with the sound of sweetness.
A Free Palestine is an unchained story open to the dance of today.
And a Queer in the South knows truth as delicate touch.
Many know the pain of hatred gaze;
but the bellows shout freedom
& my heart is with
injections in thighs
grit of teeth against raw bark
and a smooth warmth with my fellows.
The summer heat sweats through pores as
Queers in the South
move body on body
tongue to tip
tasting sweet watermelon as the sound of
solidarity rings in the temple
Queers in the South
dance with glee
simply for
those who
didn’t get the chance.

Sun is a 21 year old trans/nonbinary, Korean/white farmer with Solar Community Farm. They live and work on Cherokee Land in Greenville, SC with their girlfriend Celene, and enjoy time shared with the Earth, their fellow Queers, and their blood relatives.
